Hey, guinea pigs! Today is Monday and we got up very early but we don't care because... CUTIE CUIS has won the prize for the best video game in Asturias!
How are you doing? We are still floating in a cloud of gratitude and illusion since Saturday night, when the IV Edition of the GAVA Awards (also known as the Audiovisual Gala of Asturias, something like the Goya of the North of Spain) was held.
A red carpet recognition that as we say in our land, «nos presta po’ la vida»Cuicui Studios will soon be 5 years old, and we can't think of a better gift than this. It's a big pat on the back that encourages us to keep doing what we love best; creating fun video games and educational apps for all audiences.
From Cuicui, we would like to congratulate the rest of the award winners from the audiovisual, creative and technological sectors in Asturias. And of course, share the recognition of our award with Meteorbyte Studios for their game Woodpunkalso nominated for Best Video Game.
We would also like to thank the institutions that have supported us from the beginning and that help to continue promoting this booming industry, which has a turnover of so many millions in other countries; IMPULSA (Gijón Impulsa Empresas), the Economic Development Institute of the Principality of Asturias (IDEPA) and the European Business and Innovation Centre of the Principality of Asturias (CEEI).
Finally, I would like to congratulate and thank the organisers of Acicca Asturias and its president, Marga Llano, for the management and organisation of this event, which reflects the power of the Asturian audiovisual industry.
Thank you for welcoming us and for the recognition that the video game industry deserves in Asturias,as we are many professionals, from different branches, working to create quality entertainment. As we said at the gala:
We are small studios, but with great games.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!
